When it comes to technology, are we really as advanced as many people would have us believe? We've advanced a lot in about 5 or 10 years, but should we have have been to this point a long time ago?
People today debate how old the earth really is and how long human beings have been in existence, but if man has really been around for millions of years, shouldn't we be more technologically advanced than we really are?
I love the history of technology and it's great to watch it unfold in front of our lives. I love the story of the Wright Brothers inventing the first plane, Benjamin Franklin flying the kite in the storm and I'd love to see what those things lead to in about 100 years from now.
Recently, technology has allowed the U.S. military to invent small electronic droid spies, and we've also got batteries on the side of train tracks to save and story energy for the subways to use when ready. It's pretty remarkable.
I think it'll be great to see where technology takes is in the future. Will robots fight our wars and drive our cars?
What are some things we don't yet have that you perceive might come in the future? Perhaps we'll one day have flying cars or a holodeck or other technological advances from the hit sci-fi show Star Trek.
Chances are, these things will never happen, at least not in our lifetime, but people probably once said that of airplanes, cars, radios and TVs.
These technological advances helped pave the way for things that came later. Old-fashioned phoneds paved the way for today's cell phones. The Wright Brothers' first plane helped pave the way for jets and other aircrafts throughout history and the black-and-white TV paved the way for HD and 3D flat screen TVs.
The question still remains, what will today's technology lead to, and should we be further than we are?
