Specify site of television station antenna. The first thing that you have to do is to give the community television station a phone call. And then, ask them about the location of their transmission antennas.
You now need to alter or modify the current position of your external aerial. If your aerial is attached to your roof top, remove the U-bolts that keep the antenna attached to the mast. Then, point the aerial towards the spot of the TV station's broadcast antenna. Have somebody keep track of your television inside the house while you make small adjustments to your exterior aerial. Avoid shouting to one another, but use a telephone to communicate, instead. Ask your helper to rescan for television stations each time you reposition the antenna outside. And lastly, when you've obtained the channels you needed to have, tighten back the mounting bolts to secure the antenna in that spot.
Make adjustments to the interior antennas. Lift the aerial ears as high as possible towards the ceiling. And then, check your television if the channels are acquiring a great reception. If not, continue readjusting the antenna ears by pointing them to the window.
Bring the aerial close to the window. In case pulling and repositioning the antenna ears didn't work, you can try taking your TV set and antennas near the window. Sometimes this will work because signals are strongest where there are no physical interferences. Ensure that the co-axial wires are not kinked to less than 3 inches in radius.
A different way for you to figure out which particular area inside the room has the perfect TV reception is to carry the antenna and move it around the room. While you're performing this, be sure to watch for the best reception from the television. Once you have identified the location for the best reception, transfer the TV to that specific area.
A higher place inside the house also gives a better television reception from, say, the basement or first floor. Thus, if your TV is not obtaining excellent reception from the ground it's presently positioned, transfer the TV set to an elevated floor.
