Super Bowl Sunday was coming up! I had BIG plans. I had just moved into my new house and I wanted my family and friends to come over and watch the game on my 72? flat screen TV! I had purchased a top of the line Plasma equipped with HD 3D capabilities. Now all I needed was the DIRECT TV HD channels. It would be so awesome if we could actually watch the Super Bowl in 3D! In my house, I needed to hurry up and finish setting everything up so that I could get ready for my Super Bowl extravaganza!
I ran into several problems with my new house; Leaky roof, broken pipes and much more. The money in my checking and savings account was almost gone and my new job was not set to start for another 3 weeks. How was I going to fix my house and still throw that amazing party? I wasn't even sure if that offer was still valid but I was going to take my chances and try calling anyways. So, after I finished my shopping I called the number. It was for DIRECTV. I had heard of them before and wanted to purchase DIRECT TV HD programming so that I could watch my movies in High Definition. To look up more information about them, I went to the local library and used the internet. Before I spoke to a customer service representative I wanted to know everything about the company and just what all they had to offer.
All of the amazing deals and offers that they had, I was really amazed. Their package plans started out as low as $29.99. As I continued researching I found that the installation was still free and that they offered a free HD DVR along with HD installation in up to three rooms and it was all for FREE for first time customers. I was absolutely amazed. Surely there had to be a catch. Was it possible to receive such great offers and not have to pay anything up front? According to DIRECT TV reviews, I could get great service at a very low price.

Not to mention the FREE HD DVR and HD installation in up to three rooms in my new house. I could also watch movies on my phone when I was away from home. How great is that? I could also use my DVR and record my favorite movies or TV shows when I'm away from home. No more rushing home from work on Monday nights to watch my favorite TV shows! After calling DIRECTV, I believe I became the happiest person on the face of the earth. Not only was I out of pocket absolutely nothing, I was also scheduled to have my services the very next day! I could now throw that BIG Super Bowl party and watch the game in HD! The day of the party was great! All of my friends and family came over and we sat in my living room and watched the big game. Because of DIRECT TV HD channels, I was able to provide excellent entertainment to my guest! Watching the game on HD was so amazing!

Yes, but it STILL costs more to get setup with DirecTV than DISH. DirecTV doesn't offer HD Free for Life with its basic packages like DISH does, and the technology from DISH is far better. I just got set up with the new Hopper Whole Home HD DVR, and it has completely enhanced the way we enjoy our music, movies and TV. The Hopper connects to four HDTVs, and each has access to the main DVR playlist. It also comes with a 2 TB hard drive, and allows us to record and store up to 2,000 hours of content! We no longer argue over whose DVR selection takes precedent, and we don't have to constantly delete the old recordings to make room for the new! The best part is new DISH subscribers can get the Hopper for FREE! A DISH coworker told me how great it was, and I got one set up the next week. We've never had this much fun with TV!
